Father of Former Ebonyi Deputy Governor Kidnapped

On Sunday morning, Chief Franci Igw, the father of Kelechi Igw, who is a former Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, was kidnapped in Ndufu Alik community. The incident occurred as he was driving to church when gunmen on motorcycles allegedly forced his vehicle off the road and abducted him.

Sunday Nwankwo, the chairman of Ikwo Local Government, confirmed the incident and stated that local government authorities are working in collaboration with security agents to gather information and facilitate the rescue of Chief Igw. Police spokesperson Joshua Ukandu was contacted for comments but did not respond to calls or messages at the time of the report.
