Dankwambo Named PDP Consensus Candidate for Gombe North

Ibrahim Dankwambo, the former governor of Gombe State and current representative for Gombe North in the Senate, has been confirmed as the consensus candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming Gombe North Senate race for the 2027 general elections. This affirmation took place on Wednesday at the PDP Gombe North zonal office, with Malam Sidi officiating the event.

The exercise was attended by members of the PDP state executive committee and officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja. Additionally, PDP governorship aspirants and representatives from various local government areas, including Kwami, Funakaye, Dukku, and Nafada, were present to show solidarity with Dankwambo as he prepares for the 2027 elections.
