Former Labour Party Chairman Assaulted at Abuja Airport: Police Urged to Act

Former Labour Party Chairman, Julius Abure, was allegedly assaulted by a woman named Precious Oruche, known as Mama, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The assault reportedly continued during a Max Air flight to Benin.

The incident was witnessed by a large number of onlookers. Abure's factional spokesperson, Obiora Ifoh, stated that the attacker claimed to have high-level police connections and threatened further attacks.

Ifoh called for the police to investigate and apprehend the assailant and any accomplices. The motive behind the assault is believed to be related to internal party politics.
