Isa Pantami Denies Politics Is Haram and Accusations

Isa Pantami, the former Minister under the administration of late President Muhammadu Buhari, refuted claims made during a BBC Hausa interview that he said politics is haram. He emphasized that politics can lead to good governance for the people of Nigeria.

Additionally, Pantami dismissed allegations linking him to the death of a student at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi, which occurred in 2004. The accusations suggested that he played a role in the incident, which was reportedly incited by a fatwa he issued as the chief imam at the ATBU Mosque.

Pantami forcefully rejected these claims and challenged the accuser to reveal their identity and take the matter to court.
