Pantami Reveals Buhari's Advice to Stay Out of Gombe Politics for Unity

Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, revealed that late former President Muhammadu Buhari advised him to refrain from active involvement in Gombe state politics to ensure unity and stability. Pantami shared this information during a speech at the APC state secretariat in Gombe.

He explained that the advice was given during the first term of Gombe state governor Muhammadu Yahaya to maintain harmony and cordial work relationships within the state's political leadership. Pantami emphasized that his involvement in politics dates back to 2001 and highlighted the differences between political and security sector engagements.

He also described the role of the APC in nurturing his political career, mentioning the merger that led to the formation of the party. Additionally, Pantami addressed speculations about him leaving the APC for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), clarifying that he remains loyal to the APC.
