Former Miss Taraba Comfort Williams Dies, Pageant Organisers Mourn

Comfort Williams, who won the Miss Taraba crown in 2023 and later joined pageant organisers as a staff member, has passed away.

Comfort Williams, a former Miss Taraba titleholder, has died. Prime Planet Event Managers, the organisation behind the state's annual beauty pageant, made the announcement public on Monday, November 2, through an official statement mourning her loss.

Williams held the Miss Taraba title after her 2023 victory in the pageant competition. Beyond her role as a beauty queen, she joined Prime Planet Event Managers' staff structure, serving as Assistant Managing Director from January 2026 onwards.

The position marked a significant step in her involvement with the organisation after her reign. In their condolence message, Prime Planet Event Managers characterised Williams as far more than an employee.

The organisation's leadership, led by Chief Executive Officer Disebe Donga, described her as a valued member of the Prime Planet family. They noted that her presence, work contributions, and personal memories would remain part of the organisation's history .

The exact circumstances and date of Williams' death were not disclosed in the available statements from the pageant organisers. Her passing has prompted reflections on her tenure both as a beauty queen and as an administrator within the pageant management structure.

Prime Planet Event Managers extended condolences to her family members during this period.
