Former PDP Governorship Candidate Ombugadu Resigns

David Emmanuel Ombugadu, who previously served as the governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, has officially resigned from the party. In a letter addressed to the ward chairman of Ika Wangibi Ward in the Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area, dated February 28, 2026, Ombugadu cited ongoing leadership conflicts within the PDP as a significant factor in his decision.

He expressed gratitude for the opportunities he had while serving the state and the nation through the party. Ombugadu described his choice as a difficult but necessary step to clarify his political direction, especially as he prepares to contest the 2023 governorship election on the PDP platform.

He requested that his resignation be accepted formally, marking the end of his membership with the party.
