David Ombugadu Joins APC, Resigns from PDP in Nasarawa

David Ombugadu has transitioned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), as confirmed by Aliyu Bello, the APC Chairman in Nasarawa State. Ombugadu's resignation from the PDP and subsequent registration as an APC member occurred over the weekend.

Bello revealed this information during an interview with journalists in Lafia, stating that Ombugadu registered in accordance with party rules at the Ika Wangibi electoral ward in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area. Bello emphasized the importance of increasing membership within the APC to strengthen the party's position in the state, especially as they prepare for upcoming elections.

He also mentioned that the governor believes in a gentleman's agreement regarding the governorship slot, which aims to promote peace and stability in the state. This move is seen as a significant shift in the political landscape of Nasarawa State, particularly in light of the reduced campaign period ahead of the elections.
