Do What U Love Festival Returns to Lagos in 2026

The Street Project Foundation (SPF) has announced the seventh edition of its flagship creative platform, the Do What U Love (DWUL) Festival, scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2026, in Lagos. This year's theme, “The Creator’s Market,” emphasizes creativity as a sustainable economic pathway for young Nigerians.

The festival will include a creative pitch competition, a poetry slam, masterclasses, a panel discussion, live performances, a film screening, and the presentation of the Wole Oguntokun Legacy Award. SPF has opened three calls for entries: the “Mic Check” Poetry Slam with a N100,000 prize, “Pitch It” for entrepreneurs aged 18–35 with N400,000 in prize money, and an open call for performers.

Selected applicants are being contacted ahead of the event. Rita Ezenwa Okoro, Founder of SPF, stated that the festival aims to provide young Nigerians with the tools and recognition to build sustainable careers.

The Wole Oguntokun Legacy Award will honor young Nigerians using theatre and storytelling for social change, with last year's recipient being Ayodeji Ajadi.
