Free Medical Outreach Benefits 1,000 in Cross River State

The Grace Network Evangel Outreach Foundation, in partnership with NA AR Youth Swagger, conducted a free medical outreach in Calabar, Cross River State, on Wednesday, benefiting no fewer than 1,000 residents. The outreach provided a range of healthcare services, including minor and major surgeries, dental treatments, eye care, laboratory tests, and general medical consultations.

Team lead Bless Obi emphasized the program's goal to improve access to quality healthcare for underserved communities, targeting vulnerable individuals who struggle to pay for medical services. The outreach, held annually, aims to reach as many people as possible without restrictions.

Patients requiring further medical procedures, particularly eye surgeries, are referred to partner facilities that cover treatment costs. The initiative highlighted prevalent health conditions among residents, such as high blood pressure, hypertension, malaria, and elevated blood sugar levels.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the services, noting the significant impact on their lives. The outreach is part of the annual NA AR Youth Swagger week-long gospel program.
