Yargot Foundation to Host 5km Road Walk for Boys' Welfare

The Yargot Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the welfare of boys, plans to hold its second annual 5km road walk on Saturday, May 16, 2026. This event commemorates the International Day of the Boy Child and is themed "Flourish, Thrive: Invest in Boys for Stronger Families and Communities." Founder Anna Hussaini Pai stated that the walk will unite students, parents, educators, community leaders, and advocates to prioritize the emotional and social development of boys in Nigeria.

The 2026 road walk aims to raise awareness about the need for a supportive system for boys, including mentorship, life skills development, and emotional intelligence. Despite increasing conversations around youth development, boys often face unique challenges that remain overlooked.

The Yargot Foundation has implemented its flagship empowerment project over the last three years, reaching underserved communities and equipping boys aged 10 to 19 with mentorship opportunities and personal development support. The event expects to host 200 participants to further amplify discussions on balanced child development and inclusive youth-focused interventions.
