NGO Launches 500-Capacity Homeless Shelter in Ogun

The Everlast Fountain Welfare Initiative (EFWI), a Christian-based non-governmental organization, has broken ground on its flagship project, the Everlast Shelter for the homeless, located on a seven-hectare land in Obaf Town, Ogun State. Founded by Mr. Abiola Adeniyi, the project aims to provide dignity, hope, and support to underprivileged individuals and families.

The shelter will accommodate 500 people and will serve as a rehabilitation and empowerment center, offering vocational training in various skills such as shoemaking, hairdressing, tailoring, and agriculture. The initiative also plans to distribute food, clothing, and medical assistance.

During the ceremony, Prince Victor Adeniyi, the patron of the foundation, emphasized the project's significance as a dream fulfilled through divine intervention. He called for support from the Nigerian government and the public to ensure the project's success.

The EFWI has previously engaged in community service through programs aimed at supporting vulnerable individuals.
