Four Arrested in Rivers State Vehicle Theft Operation

On April 10, 2026, the Rivers State Police Command, through its Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU), arrested four suspects linked to a vehicle theft syndicate. The operation followed the arrest of Paul Nwabuez Jude, a 46-year-old resident of Ogbogoro Community, who was previously apprehended on November 16, 2025, alongside accomplice Uju Molokai, aged 32, for a stolen Toyota Hilux.

Nwabuez Jude evaded arrest during investigations but later confessed to his involvement in multiple vehicle thefts. The police recovered two Toyota Hilux and three Sienna vehicles during the operation.

Other suspects arrested include Dike Micheal, 46, Uzomba Darlington, 47, and Emyinnaya Eugen, all believed to be part of the gang. The Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
