Four Arrested for Armed Robbery in Ogun State

On April 16, 2026, at approximately 11:30 PM, Ogun State Police announced the arrest of four suspects involved in an assault and armed robbery incident in the Ilaro area. The suspects, identified as Samson John (25), Olufowora Michael (28), Odeh Samuel Ejeh (25), and Olajid Jeremiah (28), allegedly attacked a resident earlier that day around 1 PM, threatening them with an axe and stealing an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Following a complaint lodged at the Ilaro divisional police station, Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer Oluseyi Babaseyi reported that the suspects were apprehended due to a swift response operation. During the operation, several items were recovered, including a locally made pistol, an axe, a charm, and the stolen iPhone.

The suspects are currently in police custody, and efforts are ongoing to arrest other fleeing gang members. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution.
