Ogun Police Arrest Two Armed Robbers, Recover Stolen Cars

On May 10, 2026, Ogun State Police, led by CSP Kamorudeen Olabisi and CSP Idowu G. Olatunji, conducted operations in Ifo and Sango, resulting in the recovery of three stolen vehicles and the arrest of two suspects, Moham Adeniyi Usman, 48, and Abiodun Ogunojukan, 38.

The operation was part of a sustained intelligence-led investigation into a series of armed robberies and vehicle thefts reported in the area. The police received credible intelligence about the suspects' hideout in Adeley Area, Itel Ota, and executed a strategic ambush.

During the operation, the police recovered a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Venza, which were reported stolen at gunpoint on April 26, 2026. Further investigations revealed the suspects' involvement in a wider criminal syndicate.

On May 11, 2026, Ogunojukan was apprehended and confessed to assisting the police in tracking down other fleeing members of the syndicate. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution.
