Ogun Police Arrest Two Suspects for Robbery Incident

On May 28, 2026, Ogun State Police Command arrested two robbery suspects, identified as Odunuga Kehind and Olajid Rasak, in the Obantoko area. The arrest followed a distress report regarding a robbery incident involving two sisters who were traveling in a Nissan Micra taxi.

The victims were en route to NNPC Kuto for a wedding anniversary when the suspects allegedly diverted the vehicle, forcibly ejecting them and stealing an iPhone 12 Pro. Upon receiving the distress call, the police swiftly mobilized to the scene, leading to the suspects' arrest and the recovery of the stolen phone.

During preliminary investigations, the suspects voluntarily confessed to the crime. The police intervened to prevent potential mob action from agitated members of the public.

The suspects were photographed for record purposes, and the recovered exhibit was released to the owner.
