Gunman Kills Four, Injures Eight in Mersin, Turkey

On Monday, a gunman opened fire in Mersin, Turkey, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to eight others. Reports indicate that at least two people were killed when the assailant opened fire inside a restaurant, while two additional victims were shot elsewhere.

The shooter, identified as a 17-year-old armed with a shotgun, fled the scene in a car. This incident has triggered a widespread police manhunt, which includes the use of helicopters to locate the shooter.

The violence follows a month marked by two other shooting attacks in Turkey, one of which injured 16 people and another that claimed the lives of 10, including young school children.
