Teenager Shot Dead Near Osun Local Government Secretariat

On Sunday, a tragic incident occurred near the Irepodun Local Government Secretariat in Ilobu, Osun State, where 14-year-old Ezekiel Olapad was shot dead. Eyewitnesses reported that the attack happened in the afternoon when armed men, allegedly led by a notorious thug identified as Sahe, popularly known as Tanfeani, approached a palm wine joint opposite the local government secretariat.

The assailants opened fire indiscriminately, causing panic among patrons who fled for safety. Olapad was reportedly not the intended target of the attack but was struck by a bullet during the chaos.

Another individual sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The Osun State Police Command, represented by spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the incident and stated that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspects involved in the attack.
