Four Lawmakers Defect to APC from PDP and Labour Party

On Wednesday, during a plenary session, four lawmakers officially defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The lawmakers include Inuwa Garuba and Abdullahi El-Rashe from Yamaltu Deba, Dakku Nafada from Gombe, and Moham Audu from Karim Lamido.

Additionally, Obika Chinedu from Abuja Municipal and Adewal Adebayo from Irepodun/Olorunda/Osogbo/Orolu in Osun State also joined the APC. The defections were attributed to internal crises within their former parties.

Furthermore, Senator Banigo announced her resignation from the PDP during a plenary session on Tuesday, March 10, stating her intent to align politically with the APC to support development initiatives in River State. These moves reflect ongoing political realignments as lawmakers seek to strengthen their positions and influence within the current political landscape.
