Francis Uzoho, the Nigerian shot-stopper, played a crucial role in Omonia Nicosia's triumph in the Cypriot First Division, securing the title on May 3 with a decisive 3-0 victory against AEL Limassol. This victory ended Omonia's five-year wait for domestic glory and marked Uzoho's first league crown since joining the club in 2021.

During the season, Uzoho made five league appearances, keeping three clean sheets and conceding three goals. Following this achievement, Omonia will focus on the UEFA Champions League, entering the second qualifying round next season.

In a separate development, Belgian international Romelu Lukaku is reportedly planning to leave Napoli, where he has faced criticism and disciplinary action, missing training in recent weeks.
