Yobe State to Establish Free Dialysis Center in Gashu’a for Kidney Disease Patients

The Yobe State Government, led by Governor Mai Mala Buni, is set to establish a new dialysis center in Gashu’a to cater to kidney disease patients. Dr.

Moham Lawan Gana, the State Commissioner for Health, disclosed the plan, emphasizing the government's commitment to tackling the increasing cases of renal failure in the state. The new facility, to be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, will offer free services to both indigenes and non-indigenes suffering from kidney failure.

The government currently spends N30 million monthly on sustaining free dialysis sessions, showcasing a proactive approach to healthcare. The move aims to reduce the burden on patients and families, ultimately saving lives.
