Friday Ekpo on Super Falcons' Success Over Super Eagles

Former Nigeria international Friday Ekpo discussed the reasons behind the Super Falcons' greater success compared to the Super Eagles. He noted that the Super Falcons have won the African women's football title a record 10 times and have consistently qualified for every edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup since its inception in 1991.

The team achieved its best result in 1999, reaching the quarter-finals in the United States, a milestone no other African women's team has matched. In contrast, the Super Eagles have won the Africa Cup of Nations three times and have participated in the FIFA World Cup on six occasions.

Ekpo attributed the gap in achievements partly to the early establishment of women's football in Nigeria, which has allowed the Super Falcons to dominate the sport.
