Farooq Oreagba's Journey from Millionaire to Labourer

Farooq Oreagba, a businessman and lifestyle figure popularly known as Mr Steeze, revealed his dramatic financial decline from being a dollar millionaire at age 30 to working as a labourer in England five years later. He shared this during an episode of the MENtality show hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and co-hosted by Banky W, where they discussed themes of wealth and materialism.

Oreagba explained that his financial crash followed the loss of his banking job while he pursued another dream. Despite his struggles, he continued to project wealth outwardly, which led him to confront his misplaced values after hitting rock bottom.

He stated that he would be turning 60 next month and noted that his lifestyle has remained largely unchanged, attributing his rise to public attention to a viral photo taken at the 2024 Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebu-Ode, which earned him the nickname “Mr Steeze” and made him a prominent figure in discussions about wealth and style.
