From Millionaire to Labourer: Farooq Oreagba's Journey

Farooq Oreagba, a Nigerian businessman popularly known as Mr Steeze, recounted his dramatic financial decline during an episode of the MENtality show hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, with Banky W as co-host. At 30, Oreagba was a dollar millionaire, but by 35, he found himself working as a labourer in England after losing his banking job.

He explained that his financial troubles stemmed from pursuing another ambition while trying to maintain his previous lifestyle, which led to a series of hustles that went unnoticed by others. Oreagba emphasized the lessons learned from his experience, noting that many people place excessive importance on money and social status rather than on health and family.

He stated, “I’m going to be 60 next month, and my lifestyle has not changed,” reflecting on how a viral photo from the 2024 Ojude Oba Festival brought him back into the public eye.
