Zeberc Group Launches FIFA-Approved Academy in Abuja

Zeberc Group, represented by Managing Director Adil Aydin Kurt, announced plans to establish a FIFA-approved football academy in Abuja, Nigeria. The academy will focus on identifying and nurturing young talent, aiming to admit approximately 2,000 young Nigerian footballers annually.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance youth development in Nigeria, combining technical training with vocational education in fields such as machine construction, vehicle design, plumbing, and electronics. The academy is expected to create an estimated 40,000 direct jobs and provide a dual career model that integrates vocational training with football coaching.

This approach is designed to prepare young players for professional careers in football while also equipping them with practical skills for alternative career paths. Comrade Grace Ik, chairman of the NUJ FCT Council, welcomed the initiative, emphasizing its potential to address unemployment and skill gaps in Nigeria.

The project signifies a commitment to long-term investment in technology transfer and sports development in the country.
