FRSC Deploys 1,500 Personnel for Easter Patrol in Anambra

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the deployment of 1,500 personnel, including special marshals, to oversee key traffic points across Anambra State during the Easter celebrations. This initiative was communicated in a press statement released on Wednesday by the state sector public education officer, Margaret Onab.

The command has placed an emergency response team on standby to handle incidents, with tow trucks, patrol vehicles, and ambulances stationed at strategic locations for emergencies. Bridget Asekhauno, the FRSC Anambra State Command Corps Commander, urged drivers to prioritize road safety, obey traffic rules, and exercise caution, especially during this period of increased traffic.

The command also appealed to passengers to wear seat belts, avoid overload, and report reckless driving. The FRSC emphasized the importance of safe travel during the Easter holiday, which commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and encouraged road users to prioritize arriving at their destinations safely.
