FRSC Warns Against One-Way Driving on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a warning to motorists against driving one-way on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, particularly in the Ogun State sector. Mr.

Oludar Ogunjobi, the sector commander, provided this advice during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday. The warning follows heavy rainfall on the same day, which led to flooding on the expressway, prompting some drivers to violate traffic rules and drive against the flow of traffic.

This behavior has resulted in significant gridlock. The FRSC has appealed to motorists to exercise patience, reduce their speed, and avoid driving against traffic to help restore normalcy on the expressway.

Ogunjobi emphasized that impatience and flouting of traffic rules exacerbate the traffic situation, and FRSC officers are actively managing traffic to alleviate congestion.
