NDC Aspirant Akbovoka Demands Transparency in Primaries

Hon. Julius Efeni Akbovoka, a House of Representatives aspirant for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has appealed to the party leadership to uphold principles of internal democracy and due process in the management of primary elections in Delta State.

During a press briefing in Abuja, Akbovoka expressed disappointment over the prolonged uncertainty surrounding the official outcomes of the primary elections held in Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu local government areas. He highlighted the need for transparency and clarity from party authorities, noting that despite the successful completion of the primaries, there has been no official communication regarding the results, leading to anxiety among supporters.

Akbovoka, who joined the NDC on April 30 after resigning from a former political party, emphasized his commitment to pursuing resolution through constitutional channels and has submitted an appeal to the party's appeal committee for a review of the election results.
