NDC Aspirant Julius Akbovoka Challenges Primary Results

Julius Akbovoka, an aspirant for the Delta House of Representatives under the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), has formally petitioned the party concerning the results of the primary elections held on May 28-29. During a press briefing in Abuja, Akbovoka disclosed that the results recorded at various voting centers did not reflect the final outcome of the exercise.

He appealed to the NDC's national executive committee to ensure transparency in handling the election results. Akbovoka joined the NDC on April 30 and has actively participated in party activities, including membership registration.

He consulted with former Deputy Senate President Ovi Omo Agege and former Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson regarding the matter. Akbovoka expressed confidence in grassroots support and urged the NDC leadership to uphold transparency and fair internal democracy.

He claimed to have received the highest number of votes in the primary, with 1,205 votes from Ughelli North, compared to his closest rival's 205 votes from Ughelli South.
