Fubara Urges Voter Participation in Rivers State By-Elections

On February 21, 2026, by-elections will take place in Rivers State to fill two vacant seats in the State House of Assembly, specifically in Ahoada East State Constituency II and Khana State Constituency II. Governor Siminalayi Fubara called on the people of Rivers State, particularly eligible voters in Ahoada East and Khana Local Government Areas, to actively participate in these elections.

Speaking from the Government House in Port Harcourt, he described the elections as a family affair and encouraged residents to show substantial support for candidates from the All Progressives Congress (APC). Fubara's statement, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, also urged the populace to maintain peace and abide by the law throughout the electoral process, emphasizing that there should be no rancor or acrimony during the elections.
