Fubara Celebrates Fathers as Pillars of Society on Father's Day

On Father's Day, June 18, 2023, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of River State extolled fathers as unsung heroes and the backbone of families. In a statement issued in Port Harcourt by his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, Fubara highlighted the unconditional love and sacrifices that define fatherhood, which he described as the bedrock upon which families and society are built.

He acknowledged the daily struggles fathers face to provide for their families despite economic and social challenges. Fubara emphasized that a father's love is a quiet strength that holds families together, and he noted that when fathers stand strong, families and communities thrive.
