Fubara Inspects Creek Road Market, Sets 2027 Completion

On Tuesday, Governor Siminalayi Fubara inspected the construction work on the modern market project located on Creek Road in Port Harcourt. He declared that the project is set to be completed by January 2027.

The new market is designed to be divided into three sections, providing a decent environment for traders and addressing the issues of congestion in the old market. During the site inspection, Fubara emphasized the importance of modernizing the market to enhance business activities and improve the quality of infrastructure in the area.

He noted that the ongoing rehabilitation of the road network in the old Port Harcourt township has been significantly hampered by the lack of a modern market. The governor expressed satisfaction with the progress of the construction, which is being handled by Master Construct Firm, and assured that the project would be delivered on time as part of his administration's agenda for good governance and urban renewal.
