APC Convention Crisis: Fubara and Others Petition Leadership

Dagogo Fubara, alongside other aspirants, has formally petitioned the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as tensions rise ahead of the party's convention set for March 26-27 at Eagle Square, Abuja. The petition highlights allegations of obstruction in the nomination process, with Fubara claiming he was denied access to nomination forms despite reportedly paying 5.1 million naira.

He raised concerns about potential foul play, particularly regarding Paul Yovw, who is contesting for the position of zonal vice chairman for the South South. Yovw alleged that he made a payment of 7.5 million naira for his nomination form but did not receive an official receipt.

The APC leadership has maintained that the nomination process adheres strictly to its zoning arrangements, warning aspirants to comply with these guidelines. The situation has led to growing concerns within the party, with accusations of favoritism and manipulation by influential factions, including support groups aligned with the national chairman, Nentaw Yilwatda.
