Fubara Signs ₦1.84 Trillion Rivers State 2026 Budget

On Thursday night, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State signed the ₦1.84 trillion Rivers State 2026 Appropriation Bill into law, which he described as a significant step towards cooperation, unity, and progress. The bill was approved earlier that day by the Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Martin Amaewhule.

Fubara expressed his appreciation to the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, the members of the House, and the citizens of Rivers State for their dedication to the budget process. He emphasized that his administration's focus remains on the welfare of the people and the ongoing development of the state.

The budget is titled “Budget of Resilience for Growth and Development” and was described by Fubara as a “breath of fresh air.” The signing took place at the State Executive Council Chambers in Government House, Port Harcourt.
