Fubara Assures Continuation of Rivers Development Projects

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State assured residents that projects initiated by his administration will not be abandoned after he leaves office. He expressed confidence that his successor and political party will ensure their completion while inaugurating the reconstructed Buguma-Tema-Degema-Abonnema Road.

Fubara acknowledged that he might not meet all demands before his tenure ends but pledged to complete as many projects as possible. He noted that the road, which links several communities and had been neglected, was prioritized for reconstruction after he witnessed its poor condition during a visit to Abonnema.

The completed project aims to improve transportation, stimulate economic activities, and enhance security by reducing criminal activities along the route. Fubara also mentioned the ongoing Trans-Kalabari Road as a significant infrastructure project.

He thanked the host communities for their cooperation and support, which he deemed critical for the project's success. The road was inaugurated by His Majesty King Dr. Disreal Gbobo Bob-Manuel II, who described it as a landmark project for the Kalabari people.
