Wike Accuses Politicians of Manipulating Rivers Governor

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former governor of Rivers State, alleged that certain politicians exploited the current governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, which has resulted in an ongoing political crisis in the state. During a special media chat held on Saturday in Port Harcourt, Wike claimed that these politicians deceived Fubara into confronting him, despite their lack of capability to engage in a real political fight.

Wike expressed that Fubara had overestimated these politicians, who are now criticizing him for choosing to reconnect with his previous political allies. He remarked, “Unfortunately, they used Fubara.

To tell you the truth, the governor overrated them. They had no capacity at all to fight and they saw it.” Wike further noted that the insults directed at Fubara have intensified since he decided to return to his political family, indicating that the politicians are upset due to the loss of financial opportunities.
