Wike Allies and Fubara Camp Move Towards Reconciliation

Political allies of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, have made strides towards reconciling with Governor Siminalayi Fubara's camp in Rivers State. A meeting held at the Government House in Port Harcourt brought together members of the Rainbow Coalition and previously estranged political figures.

The reconciliation committee, led by former Senator Magnus Abe, stated that the peace process would not punish those who had previously taken opposing sides. They emphasized equal treatment for all members as they work to rebuild unity.

This meeting marked the second engagement between the Abe-led committee and Fubara within two weeks. Abe reported substantial progress and indicated that a new political chapter was beginning in Rivers State.

The committee also assured that there would be no discrimination based on past positions during the crisis. Dr. Samuel Nwanosike, the South-South Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, praised the meeting as a sign of the political family coming together again.
