114 Nigerian Universities Approved for Law Programs

The Council of Legal Education in Nigeria has released a list of 114 universities authorized to run Bachelor of Law (LL.B) programs. This announcement was made through a circular issued on Friday, signed by Aderonk Osho, the Director of Administration at the Council.

The circular warns that any university that admits students to law programs without the Council's approval will face sanctions. It further states that students admitted to unapproved law programs will not be eligible for admission to the Nigerian Law School.

The Council of Legal Education, established under the Legal Education Act, is responsible for maintaining legal education standards across Nigeria. The circular also indicates that the Council will continue to update the list of approved universities in line with its mandate to regulate legal education in the country.
