South Korea Allows K-ETA for 116 Countries, Including Africa

South Korea has released a list of 116 countries and territories whose citizens can enter the country using the Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) instead of a conventional visa. The K-ETA system allows travelers from qualifying nations to obtain pre-travel authorization electronically, bypassing the standard visa application process.

Among the eight African nations included in this list are South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mauritius, and Seychelles. Citizens from these countries can apply for K-ETA rather than going through traditional consular visa channels to visit South Korea.

The full list encompasses nations from various regions, including Europe, the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, and the Pacific. Citizens from countries not featured on this list will need to apply for a standard South Korean visa through the appropriate consular channels before traveling.
