IGP Disu Decorates New DIGs to Enhance Policing

On a recent occasion, Inspector-General of Police Disu decorated newly promoted Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) as part of efforts to strengthen intelligence-led policing across Nigeria. The newly decorated officers include Zachariah Fera, Achinyan Zango, Ibrahim Baba Isyaku, Moham Margaret Ageb, Ochalla Moham Abdul Sulaiman, Kenechukwu Onwuemeli, Umar Shehu Nadada, and Fayoad Adegok.

During the ceremony, Disu urged senior officers to deepen inter-agency collaboration and improve operational coordination within the Nigeria Police Force. He highlighted that the new ranks place the officers in key leadership positions and stressed the importance of their experience in enhancing accountability and operational effectiveness.

Disu noted that the DIGs are expected to provide strategic leadership and support ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the police force. He also acknowledged the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in strengthening the operational capacity of the police and emphasized the need for professionalism and accountability to address emerging security challenges, including organized crime and cyber-enabled threats.
