Oyo State Honors Victims of School Kidnapping Incident

The Oyo State Government paid tribute to teachers, civilians, and soldiers who were killed during a school kidnapping incident in Oriire Local Government Area. The government expressed gratitude for the successful rescue of abducted pupils and teachers, mourning the loss of lives during the incident.

A statement released by the government included a memorial list of those who lost their lives, acknowledging their sacrifices. Among the deceased were Mr.

Michael Oyedokun and Mr. Esiyan Adegboy, both teachers who were abducted on May 15.

Adegboy was killed during the attack, and his body was recovered shortly after, while Oyedokun's remains have yet to be found. The families of the victims have appealed to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde for assistance in recovering the bodies for proper burial.
