FUTO VC Warns Against Fake Facebook Account Impersonation

Professor Ikechukwu Dozie, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), has issued a warning regarding a fraudulent Facebook account that falsely claims to represent him. The university's Public Relations Officer, Orakwe Ezugwu, stated that the Vice-Chancellor does not have a personal Facebook account, and any account purporting to be his is fake.

The management of FUTO has urged the public to refrain from interacting with this account and to report it to Facebook immediately. The statement emphasized the importance of caution against fraudsters who may use such fake accounts to deceive individuals.

This warning comes in light of the ongoing admission process at FUTO, where prospective students are awaiting the release of the admission list. The university management is keen on protecting its community from potential scams.
