Gabon Partners with Oilserv for Hydrocarbon Development

The Gabonese Government has signed an agreement with Nigerian energy infrastructure company Oilserv to develop and commercialize hydrocarbon reserves in two blocks, DEF-3 and D4-5. The agreement was disclosed by Oilserv in a statement on its website.

It includes provisions for gas transportation, compression, and treatment infrastructure aimed at supporting thermal power generation and industrial activities in Gabon. The agreement was signed by Gabon’s Minister of Petroleum and Gas, Clotaire Kondja, representing the Gabonese State, while Oilserv was represented by its Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer, Emeka Okwuosa.

This agreement establishes a framework for the development and commercialization of the hydrocarbon reserves in the specified blocks and adds to the trend of Nigerian energy companies engaging in oil and gas projects across Africa, following initiatives like Dangote’s refinery in Lagos.
