Gbajabiamila Testifies in ICPC PFIPC Scandal Probe

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, appeared before the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) on July 20, 2026, as part of an ongoing investigation into the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) scandal. This appearance followed a directive from President Tinubu on July 7, 2026, for a full investigation into the activities of a fake agency.

Gbajabiamila arrived at the ICPC headquarters at 3:00 PM and provided testimony in response to questions regarding the investigation. The scandal involves allegations against Adeniyi Adeyemi, who is currently on trial in a Federal High Court in Abuja for eight counts of forgery and impersonation related to a fictitious agency.

Adeyemi allegedly operated this fake agency, which secured N1.3 billion from the 2026 Appropriation Act, and had been in contact with foreign diplomats. He is expected to reappear in court on July 27, 2026, alongside two alleged accomplices.
