Gbajabiamila Threatens Legal Action Against PFIPC DG

Olufemi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to Adeyemi Adeniyi, the embattled Director General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), to retract allegations linking him to corruption and other criminal activities. Gbajabiamila's lawyer, Kemi Pinheiro, stated that failure to comply would result in a civil suit seeking N10 billion in damages.

The allegations made by Adeniyi during a press conference included claims of corruption, bribery, and manipulation of budgets, which Pinheiro described as false and malicious. The letter sent on July 6, 2026, demands an immediate public apology and the removal of defamatory content from social media.

Additionally, it references ongoing criminal proceedings against Adeniyi in the Federal High Court, Abuja, related to forgery charges. Gbajabiamila's legal team insists that the allegations have severely damaged his reputation and calls for a retraction to prevent further legal action.
