GEN Nigeria Connects Startups to Investors in Africa

GEN Nigeria is facilitating connections between Nigerian startups and investors across Africa by selecting three entrepreneurs to represent Nigeria at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress Africa in Cape Town later this year. The initiative is part of a broader effort to link Nigerian founders with investors and support organizations, enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Dr. Olawal Anifowos, Managing Director of GEN Nigeria, emphasized the importance of this initiative in helping Nigerian entrepreneurs access international opportunities.

The Bank of Industry, represented by Oluwatoyin Edu, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting entrepreneurship development, highlighting that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are crucial to the economy. The selected startups will compete against other ventures from across Africa, aiming to engage investors and participate in capacity-building sessions.

This initiative is designed to create stronger business linkages and showcase Africa's growing innovation ecosystem.
