General Rabe's Son Disputes Government Account of Military Officer's Death

Isyaka Rabe has rejected official claims about his father's health condition, citing different causes of death while raising questions about body recovery.
The son of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar has publicly challenged the narrative put forward by the Katsina State government regarding his father's death. Speaking in recent interviews, Isyaka Rabe denied that his father suffered from diabetes, contradicting official statements that attributed the military officer's death to the disease.
According to the accounts, Isyaka provided alternative explanations for his father's passing. One source indicated he attributed the death to a heart attack, while another cited a snake bite based on video footage released during the kidnapping.
The son emphasized that only God knows the actual cause of death, and he called for prayers for his father's soul. A separate but related concern emerged regarding the general's body.
Isyaka revealed that his family has received no formal information about the circumstances surrounding the recovery of his father's remains. When funeral arrangements were announced and mourners began asking about the body's location, the family was told nothing directly by government officials.
The son also disclosed that his mother was abducted alongside his father and held captive during the same period. He dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming his mother had been released, stating she remained unaccounted for.
Isyaka described his father as a deeply religious man who lived simply and characterized him as a national hero.
