CREM Launches N13M Grant for SMEs in Nigeria

The Centre for Research In Enterprise and Action in Management (CREM) has announced the 5th Edition of the Grooming Endowment Trust Grant Program (GETGP), aimed at empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria with a total of N13 million in grants for 15 beneficiaries. Kenechukwu Ohaeri, Project Manager at GET Compass, stated that applicants must demonstrate current business operations, including daily sales reports and monthly profit and loss records.
Eligible businesses must be no more than three years old, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), and the founders must attend a two-week workshop in Lagos. The application deadline is August 20, 2026.
Chike Ugwu, Senior Operation Manager, noted that 60 beneficiaries have received N50.5 million in grants over the past year, with over 24,000 beneficiaries in total over four years. Dr. Joseph Mfon from the Technical Committee emphasized the need for more corporate support to empower the sector.
