GIZ Collaborates to Boost Small Claims Court for Nigerian MSMEs

The German development agency, GIZ, is enhancing the Small Claims Court (SCC) system in Nigeria to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Markus Wauschkuhn, the head of the Sustainable Economic Development Cluster, highlighted the importance of MSMEs in Nigeria's economy but noted their challenges in accessing essential services.

The collaboration aims to improve the business environment by strengthening mechanisms for commercial dispute resolution and contract enforcement. The programme involves 10 states and focuses on areas like business registration, financing, and market linkages to boost employment and inclusive growth.
