Gloria Samuel Aims for CBN Junior Tennis Dominance

Gloria Samuel, representing Lekmak Tennis Academy in Ado Ekiti, has expressed her determination to dominate the CBN Junior Tennis tournament, particularly in the girl’s 16 category. She has shown remarkable skill, thrashing her opponent, Destini Dahz, 9-0 in the second round robin match.

Samuel has been a perennial runner-up in the tournament for the past two years and is now eligible to compete in the senior category, where she performed impressively last year. Her biggest threat in the tournament is expected to be James Geuf from Uyo, who also won his match against Sarah Peter with a score of 9-0.

Other notable performances include Damilola Agunbiad from Calabar Sport Club defeating John Austin from Oyo State 9-4, and Venu Babalola from Oyo State beating Florence Adejokun from Lagos 9-2. The semifinals are scheduled for Friday at the National Stadium, with the grand final to take place at Ikoyi Tennis Club.
